Visakhians celebrated in style on Saturday 9th March, at the Holiday Inn Wembley. It was Visakha Nite , the second and less formal dinner dance of the Visakha social calendar. It had been a successful year of fundraising and fun activities and this was the final celebration for the year by the outgoing committee.

Past pupils of Visakha gathered with friends and family to dance the night away. The music was a good mix with much opportunity for energetic baila as well as graceful ballroom dancing.

The evening started with welcome dinks, and friends chatting with each other with eager anticipation of a wonderful evening ahead. Then we were invited into the elegantly decorated function room to take our seats and wait for the evening to commence. After a few words from the event organisers we were treated to a delicious Sri Lankan meal followed by the main event- dancing the night away.

During the evening, there was as in previous years a raffle with many wonderful prizes.

The event coordinators Harshi and Kanthi did a fantastic job as always in organising this fabulous event, to raise funds while giving us the chance to socialise with our friends and families, all dressed to impress and having a great time.
