On Sunday 12 August 2018, the PPAV(UK) held a Family Fun Day at the Old Isleworthians Sports Club .

It was a very well thought out and organized event with fun filled activities for every member of the family. The day started with the setting up of a couple of marquees – so we were well prepared for the vagrancies of the British weather- hanging decorations, preparing food etc. The games included being fed yoghurt by a blindfolded partner - rather messy but who cared, playing catch with water filled balloons, lime and spoon races, pin the tail on the elephant -with interesting results, and musical chairs which took us back to our childhood. Also, a fantastic game of rounders in which everyone – young and not so young -participated. Great live music was provided by one of the husbands, with many joining in the singing, and, of course, dancing! Food was a superb biriyani, and hot dogs for the kids

This day provided us the chance to meet up with junior and senior batch mates and their families as well as long lost friends. It was a day of bringing back sweet memories from school days, classroom and playground and making new ones.
