On Sunday 9th September members of PPAV(UK) gathered in Regents Park, London for a sponsored walk in order to raise funds for their chosen charity for the year – Sri Lanka Sumithrayo.
It was a lovely late summer’s day when the enthusiastic members along with their families did the 5 mile walk. There was much laughter and chatting (and ice cream!) as they followed the walk leader along a carefully mapped out route.
We walked through Queen Mary Gardens, passing many fountains and playing fields to the top of Primrose Hill. After a brief stop at the top for photographs of the stunning views we returned to the Jubilee Gates - where the walk had commenced.
The walk was followed by a well deserved sumptuous picnic.
This was another enjoyable event organised by PPAV(UK). A chance to get together with friends old and new and have fun whilst raising funds for a very deserving cause.
