The skies were blue without a hint of rain on Sunday 1 September 2019, albeit it was not just another ordinary day in Autumn!

 

Visakhians gathered in Isleworth with their families & friends for the second annual Family Fun Day.  

 

The day was packed with several activities involving both young and the ‘young at heart’. A lime and spoon race, being fed yoghurt by a blindfolded partner -very messy , an exciting and hard fought game of cricket were some of the activities but ‘Musical Chairs’ was the favourite with participants demonstrating their innovative dance moves to live music provided by Hiran.The tombola stall was a great success as was the ‘Ice-cream Corner’ that kept the crowd cool.  

 

Hiran’s live music continued to keep the crowd entertained throughout the day. 

 

In the evening we all had a well earned rest whilst enjoying a sumptuous Biriyani meal and a variety of desserts. The Baila session that followed took the event to another level with several people burning up the dance floor to their favourite Srilankan baila .

 

As we know all good things have to come to an end and sadly so did our fun day! We are sure that everyone enjoyed this much needed break from their hectic lives and will most certainly be looking forward to the next year’s Family Fun Day.
